Dear teachers and my fellow students, good morning.today my topic is respect others is to respect yourself.Living as a being, we need to get along with others.Everyone of us wants to be welcome and loved by others.To make it, first of all, you should learn respect others.

There is a story.A New York busineman sees a ragged man who is a salesman for pencils.he gives the man a dollar and goes away because he feels sorry for him.Soon he returns to take a pencil and explain that he forgets to take the pen.And then he adds, “you and I are both businemen, you also have something to sell.After a year, a well-dreed salesman comes to him and introduces himself with gratitude : you may have forgotten me, and I don’t not know your name, but I'll never forget you, you are the person who give my self esteem and confidence back.I ponder a lot that I am a beggar selling pencils until you kindly to me that you and I are both businemen.”

It never occurs to us that a simple sentence should make a beggar to a succeful man such easy words give the poor man confidence and hope.Nothing can make such a difference except respect.

In our daily life, If you were hurt by others, what would you do? To do the same thing to him as a revenge or to be tolerant and forgive him? If you can stand under others to consider the problem, to regard it as no big deal, you will be greater.Your tolerance and generosity will make you shining.You can gain more respect from others and rewards will come to you quietly.

All in all, all of us long for respect from others.However, only if you respect others, can you win the respect of others.The old saying goes, people who send flowers get flowers back.If thorns, get thorns back.Let’s learn to respect.

亲爱的同学，敬爱的老师，大家好!

人生在世，谁也不可能像一座孤岛，在大海中独踞，都要与他人相处，希望做一个受人尊重和欢迎的人。要实现这一想法，首先就应该学会真诚地尊重他人。

有这么一则故事：一个纽约商人看到一个衣衫褴褛的铅笔推销员，出于怜悯，他塞给那人一元钱，不一会他返回来又取了几支铅笔并抱歉地解释自己忘取笔了。然后又说：“你跟我都是商人，你也有东西要卖。”一年之后，在一次商务活动中，一位西装革履、风度翩翩的推销商迎上这位商人，不无感激地自我介绍道：“您可能早已忘记我了，而我也不知道您的名字，但我永远不会忘记您，您就是那位重新给了我自尊和自信的人。我一直觉得自己是一个推销铅笔的乞丐，直到您亲切地对我说，我和您一样是商人为止。”

没想到商人简单的一句话，竟使一个自卑的人树立起了自尊，使一个处境窘迫的人找回了自信，使他看到了自己的价值和优势。倘若当初没有那一句充满平等的鼓励话语，纵然给他再多的金钱也无济于事，也不会出现从自认乞丐到自信自强的巨变———这就是尊重的力量。

在我们的日常学习、工作和生活中难免会遇到对方有意或无意做了伤害你的事情，在这种情况下你是以其人之道还治其人之身？还是以宽容的态度原谅对方？如果你能换一个角度思考这个问题，以别人难以达到的大度和宽阔的胸怀来对待处理，那么你的形象就会高大起来，你的宽容和大度就会让你的人格折射出更加高尚的光芒来。这样你就会获得更多的尊重，在今后的学习、工作和生活中他们也一定会加倍回报你的。

所以说，人的内心都渴望得到他人的尊重，但也只有你先尊重了他人才能赢得尊重。常言道：送花的人周围都是鲜花，种刺的人身边都是荆棘。就让我们每一个人都去先尊重别人吧！因为尊重别人就是尊重你自己！
